Kelli + Garrett = Reception at the Eagle Historic Warehouse Hillsboro, Texas

We adored Kelli and Garrett’s amazing wedding photos by Jason & Melanina Photography so much that we just had to blog a few of them. Kelli & Garrett got married in this beautiful Catholic Church and then had their amazing reception at the Eagle Historic Warehouse in Hillsboro, Texas with Andy + Karissa with Evergreen Event Co. We were so honored to have some of our fun vintage pieces there for group photos. We fell in love with Hillsboro while we were there. Check out these awesome wedding vendors:

Valentine,
Not a red rose or a satin heart.

I give you an onion.
It is a moon wrapped in brown paper.
It promises light
like the careful undressing of love.

Here.
It will blind you with tears
like a lover.
It will make your reflection
a wobbling photo of grief.

I am trying to be truthful.

Not a cute card or a kissogram.

I give you an onion.
Its fierce kiss will stay on your lips,
possessive and faithful
as we are,
for as long as we are.

Take it.
Its platinum loops shrink to a wedding ring,
if you like.
Lethal.
Its scent will cling to your fingers,
cling to your knife.

Haunted House Wedding Styled Shoot at Fort Worth Black House

This is the story of a house that is possessed by a spirit.

Around the turn of the century, a young couple chose this house to be their home. On their wedding night they came to their new house to spend their first night together. The spirit of the house, however, was not happy. It sensed their lack of love and the sadness in their hearts looking forward to an arranged marriage neither one of them desired. While sitting at their dining table, toasting to their nuptials, the house took their lives in attempt to end the desolate feelings, dooming them to exist as ghosts of the house forever.

For decades no one would go near the haunted house for fear of losing their own lives. The bride and groom were spotted frequently roaming the property aimlessly, a look of longing on their faces. That is, until a special young woman was drawn to the house. This woman had known spirits and magic her entire life and knew this house, with these spirits, is where she needed to be.

Feeling destined to have the house and spirits in their lives, the young woman and her husband-to-be decided to get married on the premises. With only ghosts as their witnesses, the couple promised themselves to one another and made this place their new home.

Full of adoration, the newlyweds settled in. The presence of their love brought life back into the house and there was no longer a feeling of death and sadness but in its place, a feeling of warmth and magic. by Taylor Doyle
